ABOUT
The Gallery
The Leslie Wolfe Gallery continues to break new ground by offering exhibit space for emerging artists, students, instructors, and established artists. Exhibits are on display for four weeks, kicked off with a weekend reception.
Leslie Wolfe
With renovations complete, we wanted to complete something that has been missing for some time now. The namesake at our Leslie Wolfe Gallery was an artist in addition to being the Administrator for the Old Town Triangle. She was represented by Roy Boyd Gallery, and she was integral to the artistic community. While Leslie died less than ten years ago, many new residents, students, and members are unfamiliar with her.
The Gallery hosted her final exhibition and renamed the gallery in her honor when she was able to attend, with much of her Colorado family in tow. One of the pieces on display was an oversized textile work. The Marriott Marquis Hotel on South Prairie Avenue was in the process of acquiring works by local artists for its collection and a match was made. Each artwork at the hotel provides a history of the work and the artist – Leslie’s is introduced by her friend and fellow artist, Susan Sensemann.
We are beyond thrilled to be allowed to offer this video to introduce you to Leslie Wolfe – and for her many fans and friends, to offer this remembrance.
