The Old Town Triangle Art Center offers specialized art classes seasonally. Spring classes begin the week of March 27th – however, the Saturday watercolor classes will start on March 18th. This spring, Joe Taylor will offer two Oil Painting classes; one on Tuesdays from 10 – 1 PM and the other on Wednesday evenings 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM. Kathleen Newman leads a Pastel Class on Wednesday from 10 AM – 1 PM and Watercolor on Thursday also from 10 AM – 1 PM. Didier Nolet brings his French training to help you master oils, acrylics and pastel oils on Thursday from 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM.  Tom Francesconi starts his watercolor classes beginning on Saturday March 18th from 10 AM – 1PM.

Returning to the Old Town Art Center is Marie Kirk Burke. Marie will focus on beginners, through drawing, creating a palette, color theory and the evolution from drawing to painting. This five-week workshop will be focused on instruction. If you are among the many fans of Marie and would like to attend, you are welcome to come and paint alongside. Everyone learns when Marie shares her knowledge and experience. Tuesday afternoons beginning April 11 – May 9 from 1 – 4 PM.

The Leslie Wolfe Gallery

The Leslie Wolfe Gallery features works by the Chicago Alliance of Visual Artists. An opening Reception was hheld on Sunday, April 2, 2017 from 2- 5 PM. The show continues through the month. May will bring a short (one-week) exhibit of works by students at the LaSalle Language Academy (13 – 20). Our annual exhibit of works by instructors and students from the Old Town Art Center will fill the walls beginning May 20. A reception with the artists on June 4th, will lead us in to the Art Fair.
