This summer, we are excited to feature a new Beginning Drawing class with a new instructor, Jeff Krantz. A native of Niagra Falls, NY, Krantz earned his BFA in painting at Washington University and his masters in painting at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. He was awarded a teaching fellowship following his graduate study where he acted as Associate Professor of Drawing at Indiana University’s Overseas Program in Florence, Italy. After moving to Chicago in the fall of 1995, Krantz began teaching basic and advanced courses in drawing and painting at the Highland Park Fine Arts Center, and the Evanston Arts center. He currently teaches at Northeastern Illinois University and Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills, IL.
Classes are appropriate for all skill levels. Whether you are an experienced painter or someone picking up a brush for the first time, OTTA teachers will lead you to the tools necessary to take your craft a step higher. Classes are led by some of the finest professionals in their media. Each of our teachers has a different style of teaching and may focus on a different technique or process. Small class sizes are offered so no one is left behind. Individual attention is the hallmark of all of our classes. There is a class available for everyone.
