First Sight Friday Night Schedule of Events

Artists and patrons will mingle at a cocktail party and silent auction from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m., on Friday, June 8, 2012 at The New Leaf Studios, 1818 N. Wells St., at First Sight, Friday Night, which serves as a fund-raiser and a preview of this year’s 63nd Annual Old Town Art Fair.

First Sight, Friday Night raises funds through a silent auction of works donated by artists presenting in the art fair, who donate pieces and share in the evening’s proceeds.

Last year's party featured the musical talents of The Jason Miller Group, as patrons were served fare by the Abobo Grill, 1610 N. Wells St., including signature margaritas, tamales, tostadas, taquitos, ceviche and brochetas, in the garden-themed surroundings of The New Leaf Studios. The music and food have not been selected for this coming year.

Reservations are limited and patrons are advised to buy their tickets as soon as they become available. That date will be announced in early Spring. Watch this space for details when the information becomes available.

A portion of the proceeds from First Sight, Friday Night go to help support several non-profit organizations and schools in the Old Town Triangle community.

Food Court

Solicitation for vendors has not yet begun for the food court, but potential vendors are encouraged to contact the Old Town Triangle Association to signal their interest.

The Children’s Corner is located at the corner of Sedgwick (400W) and Wisconsin (1900N).
